Stream Your Consciousness While You - Hurt EveryBody

 (UPDATED)
I've been wanting to write about this collective out of Chicago for a long, long time now.  I couldn't decide what ep/album to write about, but I did want to do it before they disbanded. Two or Three months after posting this piece about their first EP they did infact have a falling out and Supa Bwe is staying with the Hurt Everybody social media handles/networks from here on out.
I'm still hoping for a reconnect though. Qari and Mulatto recently
put out Space Jam together.
Did a write up about it HERE.

Since the release of their self-titled HURT EVERYBODY EP  (listen here) , Supa Bwe, Carl, and Mullatto have been putting out new tracks almost every week it seems, for the past year.  A non complaint for me but it just made it harder choosing what to show you all.

But before all this seems dated, or before they part ways, or before anything else happens, check them out, listen, and try not to roll your eyes or scoff when you realize you're listening to a new era of rap/hiphop or whatever you want to call it.

Speakings of MAGIC, DEPRESSION, wanting to be LOVED, and Dragon Ball Z, are only a few reasons why this hit me so hard.  And the non flaunting of gold chains and 20 karat grills makes it all relatable and retainable,
constantly wanting to rewind mid-track just so you can catch double meanings of words and play with your thoughts of consciousness as you turn up the volume of the music that's currently encompassing you.

Hard to pick my favorite tracks off this ep but here's a few that just get stuck in my head:

First song off the ep - Hurt (intro)

Track 5 - My Pack

Track 10 - Slept All Day

-Sam
