Euphoria Fest Spotlight: Lettuce

Euphoria Fest is a weekend long music experience you need to check out. For the past two years, Carson Creek Ranch has hosted the party. This place is an oasis on the outskirts of Austin, Texas and includes campsites (sold out) so you won't miss a beat of the madness. If camping isn't your thing, there are single day passes available too. Euphoria is more than just another music festival. This is a place were you can listen, create, collaborate, make friends, and experience life in the now. That is exactly what music is for, to transcend the little ego self into something higher and greater than the worries of everyday life. The folks putting on this experience for us have really put together an amazing line up this year. We already spoke about Digital Tape Machine
and now we bring you another unique act we recommend checking out while you #findyoureuphoria  April 7th-10th.....

....Lettuce is another band from up north. (Okay we admit, practically every other state is north of Texas.)  The band formed in Boston, Mass. when a group of Berkeley music lovers came together and formed an ensemble with a funky sounds. This is a group of insanely talented musicians that have shared the stage for over 2 decades. Their music has many elements its hard to box them in one particular genre. There is definitely a strong funky sound (think Earth Wind and Fire influence) that blankets their overall sound. But wait there's more! Groove a little more and you will drift off into some psychedelic vibes and then be bounced back with some masterfully sliced hip-hop beats.   These guys are all over the place. And I like it! There is no rhyme or reason why this group should be confined to a single sound. They can play it all, and they do it so well. The most recent record Crush has exactly what you need to keep your spirits up during a long work day. Turn it up during rush hour traffic and you will find yourself wondering how you got home so fast. I'm a sucker for instrumental music. If you can make a solid album from front to back without a spoken word, its just proof your music speaks for itself. It's hard to pick a favorite track, so give them a listen now and they are a defiant must see at this years Euphoria fest.

Lettuce takes the stage Saturday, April 9th.

Check out the other great artist line up for the weekend!
