SWEET SPIRIT - Sprinting Through Fear City -

-I would watch the video first, then proceed-

Sweet Spirit is an Austin based local band which I've been enjoying for about a year now, catching them outside museums with kids dancing around and in front of unknowing crowds at salsa festivals.  I might be making an assumption here but I think the many SXSW showcases
they are playing this year and the many bars they do play throughout town is more their setting, with dimmer lights and sweatier bodies dancing around.

But this video you just watched...JEEZ, am I right?
While you get caught up with colors and visual appealing puppets the song itself is good, like good good with vocals and music blending so well it's sometimes hard for me to concentrate on the video and the story it's telling.  But the scenes get so interesting you forget you're looking at puppets playing these roles.  So I just kept on rewinding it to the beginning to try to get the full affect of what I was watching.

The song is off their new album COKOMO (yes like the song, just different spelling). Get it on vinyl here, and please try to see this band live. Their energy gets shoved through the crowd and the vocal assault is nothing more then welcoming.
