Local H is finally putting out their As Good As Dead album on vinyl. In support, the 2 piece that started out in the 90's and hit it big with THIS LITTLE NUMBER:
is going back on tour and playing the whole album from start to finish.
But the album had other songs that really got me when I was growing up in my small slow moving town and this album would be on repeat until I got my hands on their follow up Pack Up The Cats.
Through the years I would go back every now and then and listen
to a hand full their songs. For the most part I would get zapped back and remember fumbling with my cd/tape player combo, trying not to get scratches on the cds I stole from my sisters. But when I thought I exhausted all that my three sisters had to offer, from The Cure and the Smiths to Erasure and the Violent Femmes I found one of them listening to Local H's AS GOOD AS DEAD. She was playing it one day when I came home from school. And as we got a little older we would listen and sing along to this album on the way to local shows we would attend. At the time I didn't realize that the album was actually about a small sleepy town, much like the same one we were trying to living in.
I'm buying my ticket for this, and staying young forever seems easier and easier.
