Not Half Bad - Sorry Dudes EP -
listen to it HERE
NOT Half Bad from Fort Worth, TX will play shows and more shows and more shows after that, in their hometown and surrounding areas.
Which is a theme I've been noticing more and more with bands that are coming out now.
And it puts thoughts in my head of living the life
of detachment that I think most of these bands/artist/people are trying to follow.
of detachment that I think most of these bands/artist/people are trying to follow.
By releasing tapes and vinyl and cds I think the social conciseness of these liked minded people are striving for a more disconnected life,
and the freedom it gives them/us.
That, I can relate too, by not swearing off cellphones and social media but existing/living with them, not for them, is something we are striving for.
Lyrically the content connects to me and the folky-punky-popness of the music is what you want and need sometimes to get you through days of mundane.
made me listen to the band,
made me realize there are people out there that still get it.
Hopefully I'll catch them at another house show when and if they come back to Austin.
