Mullers Farmers Market

When you find yourself in Austin on a Sunday morning, I recommend checking out the Muller Farmer's Market, located right off Airport blvd and the Muller development.
Vendors set up between 10am-2pm most Sundays under the old hanger. Austin's airport was originally located where this thriving neighborhood market now stands.

As I approached the market I noticed twin boys enjoying a lazy Sunday pony ride. These boys were doing the farmers market experience right!

Cauliflower from Bernhard's Fruit and Veggie Farm

Joe's Microgreens

The Muller Farmers Market is my number one go to market year round. The atmosphere is inviting, bustling with excitement, exploding in color all the while relaxing and peaceful. Oh, and the big plus, its dog friendly. So bring those furry friends along and after your shopping bags are full of seasonal goodness take them on a well deserved stroll through the park.

Apart from the seasonal varieties of fruits and veggies available, there are plenty of local artisans to check out. This week, a colorful, and well decorated table caught my eye, Sweet Thyme Design is a vintage, up cycle, pun filled creation of Chelsea. Every pieces on her table had story to tell.  The entire concept is Eco-Friendly. The dinnerware is found at vintage and flea markets where she then adds her own personal touch. Her cards though truly won me over. Not only do her cards make you giggle, they have room to grow, literally. The card is made from wildflower seed paper. After you have enjoyed the humor, plant, water, and the card will grow into wildflowers!! Now that is a card with giving!  Please make sure to stop by her booth at this market and the farmers market in Cedar Park.

My last stop before taking my dog on a walk around the park was at Whole Apple & Vinegar Co. WOW! I picked up their balsamic dressing. It's sweetened with a touch of honey and balanced with a slight kick of habanero.  They also have fruit leather that I will be going back for next Sunday,

After a couple long strolls I decided it was time to take in the gorgeous "winter" weather of late January. Just on the other side of the vendors is a small pond, complete with ducks, fish, and a beautiful view. I noticed these two practicing a form of meditation. Sitting on the steps is a peaceful and a wonderful way to start a Sunday.
