LISTEN to his new EP here while you scroll down and read.
femdot.
is fast becoming one my favorite independent artist coming out of Chicago right now.
The first ep in this series is called
four tracks introducing us to the radio station currently set up and broadcasting from inside femdot.'s brain.
Inner monologue mixing with sounds from the late 90s to mid 2000s all bleeding into 2016.
being a standout for me
continues with WFFL the radio station currently broadcasting in his head. Five songs sometimes morphing into two songs during one listen. Making you press repeat cause it goes through fast and you want it to last.
may be my favorite out of all of them right now. The samplings of Usher running through this ep and the whole soulfulness and sadness of these tracks come together so well with Seasons finally showing up.
And with weather finally changing,
it never fails to trigger my failing memories that always seems to push me into emotional roller coasters.
fuzzy
lying
pictures of the past always screaming in my face.
one
of my favorite songs by femdot. and a stand alone not assigned to any of his prior pieces of work, speaks so much truth. The realness of not giving into the fear of the struggle but the sobering thought that
whatever safety your Mother wishes upon you doesn't really matter in the end, cause
"the sun don't make your son safe."
And lastly, shout out to Sherren Olivia.
These two songs she's featured on
are straight up bangers that make you want to cruise around with your crush, windows down and everything.
