CovFeFe Throw Back :: 90's EMO - Mineral

Everything is circular it seems.
Always coming back around again over and over,
and it doesn't matter what I'm talking about,
everything just seems like it does.

While EMO from the 2000s is picking up dust and getting into everybody's nostrils, I remember the first time listening to EndSerenading and realizing how influential they were to all these bands I used to listen to in the early 2000s.

Memories of
local show after local show,
 swaying, and sweating
and dancing and sweating
and trying to sing along to long drawls
that were indistinguishable but felt powerful enough to cry along too, engulfed me, gave me

CovFeFe Artist Intro: Cuco & HotCheetoMami

Slow, rainy afternoon weekends sometimes come with great gifts of finding out new artist by content creators your partner follows on YouTube.
I've found amazing remixes of songs (big ups to Jedi Jordan's Ariana Grande's INTO YOU remix) and brand new artist just by keeping any eye and ear out whenever these videos are on.

And I think my favorite findings are
coming across Hot Cheeto Mami's Lookbook, it not only showed me her growing talent as an artist/content creator but the wonderful sad sounds of CUCO also.

She blended her awesome fashion of thrift hauls, flea market finds, and altered designs into a pretty beautiful music video for cuco's Lover Is A Day.

She drips every last sadness from that song
into her images of a destined to fail phone call.
To the aftermath of finding yourself smiling at your own outfits and laughing along to the records you put on.
And the crashing moments when you realize that phone call might be from the person who broke your heart,
and wondering if you should answer or not.

Spillage Village - No More Mystery on Names & Homes

:: UPDATE - Video Releases for Earth Gang's Voodoo & J.I.D.'s Never ::

Listen to
while you read below

Spillage Village have released other works in the BEAR series but
Bears Like This Too Much
lays out all the best parts of Spill Vill, and rolls it up nice and tight
for your journey into their world.
From the intro to the end, it smokes all the way through without skipping a mood.

Some of the best hip/hop I've heard coming out of ATL since my infatuation with OUTKAST, these guys have kept me on my toes for a couple years now.  And when I first started
listening to them I was totally confused of who was who and what was what but it wasn't until this last release that I finally sought out the answers of SPILLAGE VILLAGE.

Taylor Bennett Film Provokes Thought & Emotion with Visuals & Music

-Taylor Bennett's Broad Shoulders
Directed by Heston Charres-

I was originally going to release this post the day it came out, writing up an outline to base my piece on.  But Taylor Bennett's video struck a cord in me I didn't want to revisit and
was trying to avoid for years. So I sat with it for a week just thinking about it/things.

It stung me, but I loved it.
It hurt, but it was meant to hurt and meant to be moving and stir up memories and emotions you've wanted to leave behind and forget all together.

These songs off this short film taken from his debut album BROAD SHOULDERS meld and
