DoughBoi & Yung Chef - More then Snack Rap

I stumbled across DoughBoi and Yung Chef where we all probably did, numbingly scrolling down my news feed and sticking out of the mundane, I saw this dude nastily spit out a verse about top ramen while being pushed in a gold shopping cart down the street.

And as I dove into a clickhole of trying to find out who these dudes were
, I realized these songs were good...but good good.  Understanding that they're tapping into the social consciousness of the youth right now.
Putting it into terms we can all relate to.
I mean, who didn't dream about cinna stix?  Who didn't grow up with the struggles of loving and hating ramen?  Who doesn't crave pudding cups?

And when DoughBoi switches into Dre mode, you can hear a yung heart beating and yearning to understand the thoughts of love and inadequacies and misunderstandings.

Yung Chef producing all their wavy beats gives me insight of what our youth is actually taking and doing with the past and present of music and it leaves me with a hope of the future.

Thinking I was slipping into youth pools in Chicago with my write ups of Supa Bwe, NoName , and Trapo,
I further cement my Peter Pan Syndrome
by just straight up loving what brothers DoughBoi and Yung Chef are doing out of Portland.

When I asked DoughBoi a couple of questions about their songs and how they're reacting to TOP RAMEN gaining so much attention.  He let me know that Yung Chef does produce all the beats and they do write their own lyrics.  And the answer behind why they started doing all this is simple...

"yeah it's awesome but TBH I just make music because I enjoy making it and I never expected it to blow up"

Asking how their parents are reacting to all this, his only response was

"lmao tbh its unbelievable to my parents"

Even their FanArt is cool as hell

The songs I can't stop listenting to are:

The oh so wavy

And their newest song which is just crazy good

I hope you all give it a listen and enjoy it as much as I do.

-Sam.
