The (Rockstar Energy Drink) Taste of Chaos Tour made a stop in Cedar Park, TX, a 30 min drive North from downtown Austin. I'll be honest, I was a little baffled to hear the line up this year. Don't get me wrong, I was stoked to sing along to the songs that filled my high school aged headphones. Trust me, we were all called out for that by Adam Lazzara,
vocalist for Taking Back Sunday. Our 16 year old selves, reliving teenage memories. He reassured us his own 18 year old self was still with us.
Early November started off the evening with a few classics as they warmed up the crowd filled with late 20, early 30 something year olds. The smiles I saw from the pit shinned ear to ear on some. It goes has proof that the music that carried you though those vulnerable time in your life always has a special place on your playlist.

Saosin took the stage next. I can't recall if I had seen this band before. Either way I found myself singing along to song I knew nearly a decade ago. This band was so fun to catch live. Not only are the members pretty animated, the music feels a bit harder then the rest of this line up.

My personal headliners were up 3rd, Taking Back Sunday. They were the whole reason I applied to be in the pit. Actually, I think I submitted my application a few months back when they first announced the line up. I must have slept since then. The day of the show, much to my surprise I received the glorious approval email. It had been so long since I had TBS on a playlist, when I scanned their discography earlier that day, I was unfamiliar with a lot of their newer stuff. So you can imagine my excitement when they started off their set with Cute Without the E (Cut From the Team). A classic off their 2002 debut album Tell All your Friends.

And then, there was Dashboard Confessional. The guys had salt lamps on stage with them. A nice touch. Oh Dashboard! My sister played the heck out of your CD's. I can remember countless drivers to school with The Swiss Army Romance oozing out of the stereo. I dedicate these photos to my big sis. For unintentionally making those long lasting memories.
